Vol. XIIII, Issue No. 9

Dear Virginia Wine Lover,

Could there be a better time than September to visit Virginia's vineyards and wineries? The grapes are heavy on the vines, and the harvest will soon be underway. It's also a month choc full of wine festivals, harvest events and wine trail treks from the mountains of the Blue Ridge to the beaches of Tidewater. See our Events listing and make your plans.

The Winery of the Month is Attimo in Montgomery County near Christiansburg. They will be hosting Salute Vantaggio on September 28, a unique event sure to be popular with wine lovers.

Our featured festivals of the week include the exciting Rocktown Wine & Dine Festival coming up this Saturday. Then, on September 21 and 22, Good Times, Tastes & Traditions returns to the beautiful setting of the Frontier Culture Museum in Staunton.

For details about these and other activities, check out September Events. We hope to see you along the wine trail this September.

Cheers!

ATTIMO WINERY

Christiansburg, Virginia

In keeping with its name, which in Italian means "in the moment," Attimo Winery is dedicated to celebrating the everyday moments in life.

The owners and staff of Attimo are strong supporters of their community and are currently involved in a project to build a playground and outdoor community area. On September 28, the winery will host Salute Vantaggio, an event where participants will attempt to break two world records, the longest Toast Relay and the most Bottles of Wine Uncorked simultaneously. For the Relay, you stand among the vines and raise your glass in a toast, then clink it against your neighbor's glass and take a sip.
